PCATS Announces “Bare Bones Project Management Seminar” for 2009 Annual Conference

The Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS) announced today that Bob Lewis, President of IT Catalysts, will lead a full day seminar on Bare Bones Project Management at the 2009 PCATS Annual Conference.

John Hervey, PCATS Executive Director, in making the announcement stated, "I'm particularly excited about making this announcement.  I've been reading Bob Lewis' columns in InfoWorld magazine and his blog online for years.  He has a terrific insight into what it takes to be an effective IT leader.  I know this will be a great seminar and will contribute significantly to our expanded program this year.  This seminar will take place on Tuesday, January 27, 2009, and is part of the business track of the Annual Conference this year."

Mr. Lewis commented, "Project management is hard work. It requires diligence, attention to detail, political adroitness, and the ability to survive being pecked to death by ducks. How do you do it? Easy: attend this one day seminar on "Bare Bones Project Management: What you can't not do" and you will learn exactly what you have to do in order to bring your project to successful completion."

Jenny Bullard, CIO of Flash Foods and chair of PCATS, stated, "We encourage all retailers to mark your calendars now and plan to attend this conference the week of January 26, 2009.  We have designed the business track specifically for retailers and we anticipate a lot of interest in all of the sessions."

The 2009 PCATS Annual Conference will be held the week of January 26, 2009, at The Florida Hotel and Conference Center in Orlando, FL.  The Florida Hotel and Conference Center is located at 1500 Sand Lake Road -- just minutes from Disney World, Sea World and Universal Studios and is adjacent to the Florida Mall - the largest shopping mall in Central Florida with over 250 shops.
