Carl Bayer Joins PCATS Staff

The 20-veteran of NACS is joining PCATS to oversee the IT migration and implementation of DSD and inventory price synchronization standards.

PCATS Announces New Board Chairman and 2011 Board of Advisors / Officers

Avsha Klachuk, Director of marketing technology of ALON Brands, Dallas TX,  and 2010   Vice Chairman has assumed the role of Chairman of the Board of Advisors of The Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS); the convenience and petroleum industry’s technology standards body.  Mr. Klachuk has a long history of advocating and supporting industry standards through his many years involvement with PCATS, including serving as Vice Chairman of the Board.  Mr. Klachuk succeeds Pat Lewis, of Oasis Stores as Chairman.

PCATS Payment System Product Codes v3.4

The PCATS Retail Financial Transactions committee updated and released version 3.4 of the Payment System Product codes.  This new version provides support for electric vehicle charging codes.  The full product code specification is available free of charge to PCATS members.

PCATS Membership Approves Integration With NACS

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The integration of the Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS) with NACS cleared its last hurdle with the vote by the association’s Class A member companies to ratify the May 4 decision by the PCATS Board of Directors to integrate PCATS with NACS. 

The growing intersection of technology with regulation prompted both organizations into the integration plan.

PCATS Requests Retailer Feedback on Lottery Data

PCATS Announces 2010 Board of Directors / Officers

Stafford, VA – The Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS) today announced the results of elections to the Board of Directors and its Officers for 2010. Elections were held during the 2010 PCATS Annual Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. Pat Lewis, partner of Oasis Stop 'N Go Convenience Stores based in Twin Falls, Idaho, will take the helm as Chairman of the Board. Other elected Board Officers include:

The appointments were made following an election on January 21 during the Board of Directors Meeting at the 2010 PCATS Annual Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.

PCATS Announces Funniest Video Contest

Stafford, VA – The Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS) today is challenging their conference attendees to submit their funniest online video for the reception at the PCATS Annual Conference on Monday, January 18, 2010, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Video entries must be no more than five minutes in length and contain the following subject matter for consideration: convenience store, fuel pump, customer service, technology, security, teamwork, lottery or really stupid tricks.

PCATS Extends the Discount Registration Fee for the CIO Data Security Boot Camp

Stafford, VA – The Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS) today announced the extension of the registration fee for the 1-1/2 day chief information officer (CIO) Data Security Boot Camp, January 19-20, during the PCATS 2010 Annual Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. The fee remains $799 for PCATS members and $899 for non-members through January 8 and includes access to the PCATS Annual Conference and related events.

PCATS’ Data Security Committee to Hold First Face-to-Face Meeting at NACS Show 2009
